The End is Near, But Are We Still Living in Bible Days?

Most people fail to realize that God controls the world events around us.  They also neglect the fact that in the beginning God proclaimed the end result of man and his world.  Some ignorantly believe that we are living in the new testament and others have zealously spoken without knowledge, saying, how they wish they could have been in Bible days.

Oh, that they would understand that we are living in Bible days, and that these are the days that all the law and the prophets have spoken of!  All one has to do is pick up a newspaper to see the pages of the Bible still being fulfilled.  Every war and rumor of war, every earthquake and Aids case (plague) is simply another testimony of Bible prophecy.

The Bible teaches that God rules in the kingdom of men and that he sets up the kings of the earth (Daniel 4:17).  Is this still true today or is the earth now running amuck?  Are our leaders simply democratically voted into office or is the Lord still calling the shots?  For the answer to these questions we will refer to the old testament, which is still being fulfilled today.  The proof is in the news.

In the book of Daniel 2:31-45, a great statue is described, which represents the only four world ruling governments.  These four kingdoms were to rule from Daniel's time to our generation.  They are BABYLON, MEDO-PERSIA, THE GREEK EMPIRE, AND THE ROMAN EMPIRE, in this order.  As of this day, we are still under the fourth kingdom, ROME.

As the Bible does, we too have saved the feet of the iron and clay for last.  Although, the feet are attached to the legs of iron and are a part of that fourth kingdom (Rome), they represent a new world order today, 'The European Common Market.'  This is actually a revival of the old Roman Empire, and each nation that joins must sign a treaty that is called the 'Treaties of Rome.'  At the moment there are twelve nations in the Common Market but in it's final state there will only be ten because the statue has ten toes.  However, this is some prophecy you can watch being fulfilled, Watch!

Daniel 2:43, tells us that these ten nations will mingle themselves together but yet keep their separate identities.  Notice what appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper on October 18, 1991: "Germany, France plan joint Europe army force."  The writer reported "France and Germany announced plans Wednesday for a joint military force and urged their West European allies to contribute troops to what they hope will evolve into a continental army."  Now France is France and Germany is Germany, yet they will mingle themselves together, alone with their other Common Market allies.  This is mingling but not mixing.  This is Old Testament, not New Testament, prophecy coming to pass, Watch!

We know that these ten nations must come together in these last days because Verse 44 says, "And in the days of these Kings shall the God of heaven set up a Kingdom, which shall never be destroyed..."  See, these ten common market kings or presidents will last until Jesus returns.  Jesus is the stone in Verse 34 which hit the statue's feet, destroying it.  John saw this in Revelation 17:12-14 and wrote about the "ten kings joining forces and making war against Jesus."  Verse 12, "and the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings..."  Verse 13, "These have one mind..."  Verse 14, "These shall make war with the Lamb..."  So whether the writer of the newspaper article, knew it or not, he was writing about prophecy in it's fullness, Watch!

The same can be said for the writer of a Newsweek magazine article written over a year ago titled, "The Czar of Brussels."  When writing about the European Common Market's economic potential he wrote that they would control "More than a quarter of global trade."  The Apostle John almost wrote the exact same thing in Revelation 6:8, "...And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth..."  Watch!

The Common Market will use their power to put their religious leader in God's temple at Jerusalem.  (II Thessalonians 2:4) "...so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."  Jesus, when speaking of the last days said a man would "stand in the Holy Place."  Therefore, we that understand Prophecy are waiting and watching with anticipation for the temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem.  Time Magazine's October 16, 1989 issue had an article which indicated just that.  Time for a new temple?  This question was posed by the writer but in the article on page 65 he said, "For years, however, a miniature temple model has lured tourists to Jerusalem's Holy Land Hotel, and the institute is preparing blueprints for a more authentic replica that will cost one million dollars.  This temple will be rebuilt in our days.  Watch!

"And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." (Mark 13:37)

Time for a New Temple?

Traditionalist Jews hope to rebuild their sacred edifice, but a mosque and centuries of enmity stand in the way.

Miniature model on display in Jerusalem; enthusiasts plan to build a more exact version.

May it be Thy will that the Temple be speedily rebuilt in our days...

That plea to God, recited three times a day in Jewish prayers, expresses a yearning that makes Jerusalem's Temple Mount potentially the most volatile 35 acres on earth.  Though 19 centuries have passed since Roman troops obliterated Herod's gilded Temple, the Mount remains the object of intense Jewish reverence.  But the past 13 centuries the same trapezoidal tract has also been Islam's holiest site after Mecca and Medina; its Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock honor the spot whence the Prophet Muhammad is said to have ascended to the seventh heaven.  Christians too hold in awe this place where Jesus walked.  Now a controversy has arisen over whether, and when, a new Jewish Temple should be built.

Temple reconstruction was no issue until 1967, when Israel captured the Mount and the Old City.  Eager to preserve peace.  Israel continues to allow....
